Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to the seaside at Littlehampton – and what a fantastic day it was!
We began our adventure with a visit to the RNLI lifeboat station where the girls learnt about the important work the RNLI do to keep people safe at sea. They asked brilliant questions and loved getting a closer look at the lifeboats.
Afterwards, it was time for some seaside fun! We headed onto the beach where the girls had great fun playing in the sand, building, exploring, and enjoying the fresh sea air. Although the red flag was flying, meaning we couldn’t go into the sea, this certainly didn’t dampen our spirits!
One of the highlights of the day was a lovely train ride, which the girls thoroughly enjoyed. There were lots of smiles and excited chatter as we travelled along together.
Of course, no seaside trip would be complete without a treat – and everyone was delighted to have a delicious ice cream to finish off the day! Thankfully the rain held off until we got back to school!
