Year 13 Psychology and Biology Students End Term with Hands-On Learning and Academic Focus
Year 13 Psychology and Biology students enjoyed a busy and highly rewarding week in the lead-up to the Easter break, combining practical scientific exploration with targeted exam preparation.
The week began with a collaborative brain dissection using veal brains, offering students a valuable opportunity to examine the brain’s structure first-hand. Working together, students identified key regions of the brain and strengthened their understanding by directly linking theoretical knowledge to real anatomical features. The session was made even more memorable by the enthusiastic involvement of a special guest — a Year 10 student who joined the activity.
Later in the week, Year 13 Psychology students travelled to London to attend a Tutor2u Grade Booster revision session. The event provided focussed guidance to help consolidate key content, sharpen exam technique and build confidence ahead of final assessments. Overall, the week marked a purposeful and engaging end to term, successfully blending practical learning experiences with focused academic support as students prepare for the challenges ahead.
