We were delighted to welcome a group of our Year 12 ‘A’ Level Maths students to spend time with our Year 6 girls in a special maths-themed games session.
Ruby, Anouk, Christina, Willow and Mia-Lily brought along a fantastic selection of activities, including card games such as Uno, Shape Trumps, Fractions Snap, and traditional playing cards, alongside other engaging games like Arthimanix and the Friendly Number Game.
The session was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration across year groups, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere where learning and enjoyment went hand in hand. Our Year 6 pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience, not only developing their mathematical thinking through play, but also building connections with older students.
Most importantly, the session provided a valuable chance for the younger girls to be inspired by role models who are actively choosing and excelling in STEM subjects. Seeing the enthusiasm and confidence of the Year 12 students made a lasting impression.
We are incredibly grateful to Mrs Szymanska in the Senior school for organising this event and to the Year 12 students for generously giving their time. Their energy, encouragement, and positivity made the session both fun and memorable for everyone involved.
