The girls enjoyed an exciting opportunity on Tuesday, attending a special maths masterclass at the Senior School.
The session, led by Mrs Nield and Mrs Szymanska and supported by several of our very able Year 12 mathematicians, focused on sequences and provided a valuable introduction to Key Stage 3 mathematics.
During the lesson, pupils built on their existing knowledge of sequences and explored the fascinating Fibonacci sequence, deepening their understanding.
Year 8 students also joined at the end of the session, offering helpful insights and answering any questions about maths in the Senior School.
All Year 6 pupils were given a copy of A Mathematics Guide for our Year 6 Parents and Girls. We encourage families to take some time to read this informative guide, which is designed to support a smooth and confident transition from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3. Included in this document are details of the calculator recommended for Year 7.
A wonderful session girls! You make us very proud.
