CHILDREN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE PART IN FOREST SCHOOL SESSIONS ONCE A WEEK. THIS IS A WOODLAND BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WHICH GIVES OUR YOUNGER CHILDREN THE CHANCE TO EXPLORE AND LEARN IN OUR WONDERFUL GROUNDS.

During our Forest School sessions the children continue to cover all of the areas within our enhanced curriculum. They play outside in woodlands, take part in child led initiated activities, listen to stories, sing songs and explore.

The Forest School experience at Notre Dame provides the children with the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential in the woodland area of our beautiful grounds, increasing confidence and self-esteem. It gives time and space needed for children to explore ‘our’ world safely, developing respect and knowledge for the outside natural environment
