We proudly celebrate the achievements of our all students. This year’s results reflect their hard work, resilience and commitment throughout a demanding period of study. They have successfully overcome challenges, striving to do their best to excel across their subjects. Our students have shown impressive dedication that deserves recognition. We are delighted to share their successes and extend our congratulations to every girl on their accomplishments.

What is Value Added?

Value-added in education is the difference between the expected grade from a student’s baseline assessment score at the beginning of their course and the grade they actually achieved. At Notre Dame School, our overall value-added score of 1.2 at GCSE is outstanding. This means that the ‘Notre Dame predicted grade’ is a grade higher than the predicted grade based on ability alone. This places us within the top 2% of schools nationally for 2025, which illustrates the exceptional standard of our teaching and the superb progress our students make at our School.

We are delighted that 30% of our GCSE results were at grades 8-9 (equivalent to A*) and 13% of results were at grade 9 (the highest grade), which is an excellent reflection of our students’ hard work across a broad ability intake. Over 25% of all our Year 11 students gained nine or more grades 7–9. Across our whole broad-ability cohort 49% of all GCSE grades were 7–9, which exceeds the national average for independent schools.

“Value-added is a fair measure of the progress that students have made. Rather than relying solely on exam results, it takes account of where each student started from and the progress they made relative to other, similar students.”

“I will always look back on my fifteen years at Notre Dame with so many fond memories. I feel incredibly lucky that my school experience- from nursery through to ND6- has been nothing but positive. Over the years, I’ve grown in confidence and independence, and that’s entirely down to the incredible support and guidance of my teachers. Without their encouragement, I would never have had the confidence to take on the role of Head Girl- something that has truly been the greatest honour of my time here. I have so much love for all the wonderful friendships I’ve made at Notre Dame. The memories we’ve shared mean the world to me, and I know these are friendships that will last a lifetime. A-levels certainly weren’t easy, but I’ve felt supported every step of the way. A special thank you to everyone in the Art Department- my A* is a reflection of their constant encouragement and belief in me and I couldn’t be more grateful!” Caitlin – Head Girl

"I will always cherish my time at Notre Dame. It taught me resilience, courage and determination, and I will always remember the memories made here. From Year 9 until Year 13, the lessons I’ve learned at Notre Dame have helped me grow as a person, allowing me to become a better version of myself. The support of the teachers was key in helping me succeed, as they pushed me to work hard and strive for the top grades. I will miss the sense of community of Notre Dame, especially with the amazing group of girls I shared my Sixth Form experience with."
