U11 B & C v MHS

On Tuesday, we were due to host Halstead and MHS for a series of matches involving the whole of Year 6. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, Halstead were unable to attend. However, MHS still made the journey and played fixtures against our U11 B and C teams.

This marked the first match of the season for both teams, and the girls showed great promise throughout. They displayed good effort, teamwork and resilience, especially in challenging conditions, and approached the games with a positive attitude.

Overall, it was a valuable experience and a very encouraging start to the season for the U11 squads. Well done to all the girls who represented the school.

U9 Girls Netball Match Report vs Rowan

U9 Netball Teams v Rowan

On a rainy Thursday afternoon, our U9 girls took to the court to play Rowan in a series of netball matches. The wet conditions made things challenging, but the girls showed great determination and enthusiasm from start to finish.

Across the matches, the team achieved three wins, one draw and one loss, which was a fantastic outcome. Despite the slippery surface, the girls worked hard to keep their balance and focus, showing good movement into space and quicker decision making as the games progressed.

There was some excellent passing and catching, strong defensive marking, and impressive shooting accuracy under pressure. Communication on court was a real highlight, with players encouraging each other and working well as a team through all five games.

Even in the tougher moments, the girls showed resilience and sportsmanship, never giving up and always supporting their teammates. Overall, it was a brilliant set of matches in difficult conditions, and the girls should be very proud of their effort, teamwork and positive attitude.
Well done to everyone involved — a great afternoon of netball! 🌧️🏐👏
