The London Mini Marathon was a fantastic celebration of sport and determination. The girls ran part of the iconic London Marathon course, embracing the challenge and enjoying the incredible atmosphere on a beautiful day in London. They showed great resilience and enthusiasm throughout the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. All girls were proudly rewarded with a participation medal to celebrate their achievement.

It was a great day and with no pressure of getting a certain time, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. 8 months ago I could just about complete a 5km park run and on Sunday I ran a marathon; when you put in the effort you get the reward!
Thanks so much to everyone for their support and sponsorship. So having done it in 2006, 2016 and now 2026, I’ll be back in 2036!

Rowing at Molesey RC
After several cold and wet sessions, the Year 8 girls were delighted to finally get out on the river for the first time with Molesey Boat Club. It was a real highlight of their programme, bringing all their practice together on the water. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. Being on the river for the first time was a memorable moment, and one they are very much looking forward to repeating again this week.
The Easter ski trip to Alpendorf, Austria was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. It began with a crack of dawn departure and a smooth flight from Gatwick, followed by a warm welcome at Sportheim – where the fizzy drinks dispenser quickly became a firm favourite. After an impressively speedy ski fit at Snowslippers, we were straight onto the slopes the next day under blue skies and with red runs galore. The skiers progressed brilliantly and were even described as the best group they’d ever had. As the week rolled on, fresh snowfall transformed the resort into a winter wonderland, perfectly setting the stage for the final slalom races and an epic finish. Off the slopes, highlights included Austrian bowling (with some hilarious forfeits) and a legendary doughnut shop – especially memorable for Mr Routley, who conquered two giant donuts, including one stuffed with a full English breakfast. We departed Alpendorf after one final morning blessed with fresh snow, leaving behind a resort beautifully covered in white and memories to cherish.

Lily Strikes Gold at Nottingham Rowing National Championships
It was an outstanding day at the Nottingham Rowing National Championships as Lily delivered a gold‑medal performance to become a U14 National Champion. Competing with her partner for Surrey, Lily powered through a fiercely contested race to take top honours in a dramatic and closely fought finish.
With competition at an exceptionally high level, the margin between podium places was slim, making the victory even more impressive. Lily’s determination, teamwork and composure under pressure proved decisive, earning her and her partner the coveted national title.
A fantastic achievement and a moment of real pride! Congratulations to Lily and her partner on an unforgettable championship win.
