Reception Explores Nature Through Hapi Zome Art

Reception pupils embraced creativity and outdoor learning this week as they practised the traditional art of Hapi Zome. Using fresh flowers and leaves, the children carefully pounded natural pigments onto calico cloth, revealing beautiful bursts of colour and pattern.

The hands-on activity encouraged exploration of natural materials, tool use, and artistic expression, with each child creating their own unique design inspired by the forest environment.
