🌼 Infant Assembly – Sports Day
This week, Mrs Botham led our Infant Assembly all about Sports Day. She explained what the children can expect next week, including what to wear, what to bring, and who will be there to cheer them on. Medals or stickers will be awarded in each event for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, earning points for their houses.
Mrs Botham reminded the children of the importance of the SPORTS DAY values:
S – Sportsmanship: Be kind, fair and celebrate others’ success
P – Personal Best: Try to improve each time
O – Opponent: Be respectful and friendly
R – Resilience: Keep going, even when it’s tricky
T – Teamwork: Support your team and take pride in your house
Together Everyone Achieves More!
She also encouraged children to practise their skills, stay focused, set goals, and most importantly, have fun and be proud of taking part.
The assembly finished with the story of The Tortoise and the Hare, reminding us that perseverance and effort matter most.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic Sports Day next week! 🏅
