Year 2 Outdoor Maths

Year 2 took their maths learning outside this week!

They have been practising telling the time to o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to the hour.
In the warm May sunshine, they walked up to Forest School and created their very own analogue clocks. Using hula hoops for the clock faces, they collected natural materials such as sticks, leaves, stones and grass to make all 12 numbers around the edge.

Mrs Botham and Mrs Petzer were delighted to spot some clocks featuring Roman numerals too! The girls had great fun moving the hands to show different times on their clocks.
