Year 12 Cricket v Reed’s

Notre Dame faced Reed’s in a closely contested and competitive fixture. Notre Dame posted an impressive total of 290 runs, but Reed’s narrowly secured the win with 305.
The standout batting partnership came from Sophia and Freya, who contributed a strong 31 runs together and provided stability at the crease.
Cristina delivered the most consistent bowling performance of the afternoon and was deservedly awarded Player of the Match for her efforts. Mia Lily also earned Player of the Match in recognition for her fielding. As wicketkeeper, she played a crucial role, catching batters off guard with her sharp reactions and awareness behind the stumps.
The team’s greatest strength throughout the match was their excellent teamwork and communication. Looking ahead, the team will focus on developing their bowling to further strengthen their overall performance.
It was a highly competitive game, with all players demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment throughout.

Match Report: U15A Cricket vs Downsend

The U15A girls took to the field on Tuesday for their first-ever hardball cricket match against Downsend, and what a fantastic performance it was. Despite being new to the hardball format, the team showed great confidence, skill, and determination throughout the match.
Batting first, Notre Dame produced a strong total of 113 runs. A standout performance came from Bailey, who demonstrated excellent composure and resilience at the crease. Batting the full 14 overs, Bailey remained not out at the end of the innings, anchoring the team with a superb innings and providing a solid foundation for the total.
With the ball and in the field, the girls continued to impress. Emma delivered an exceptional all-round performance, taking three wickets with some accurate bowling, as well as contributing to a run-out and holding onto a catch. Her efforts played a key role in restricting the Downsend batting line-up.
The team worked brilliantly together in the field, supporting one another and applying pressure consistently. Their enthusiasm and teamwork were evident throughout, especially impressive given it was their first experience with hardball cricket.
In the end, Notre Dame secured a well-deserved victory, winning 113–86. It was a fantastic team effort and a brilliant introduction to hardball cricket for the squad.
Match Report: U12A-D Cricket vs SWPS (8th May)
On the 8th of May, the U12A-D Teams girls played SWPS in their first cricket match of the season, marking an exciting start to their cricketing journey. It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all, with the girls showing great enthusiasm and positivity throughout.
As this was the team’s first fixture of the season, the focus was very much on learning and development. The girls embraced the opportunity to build their skills and deepen their understanding of the game, both with the bat and in the field. It was fantastic to see players growing in confidence as the match progressed, trying new skills and supporting one another.
There were plenty of encouraging moments, with good communication, teamwork, and effort on display across the team. Most importantly, the girls demonstrated a great attitude, showing determination and a willingness to learn from each experience on the pitch.
Overall, it was a brilliant start to the season and a valuable stepping stone for the girls moving forward.
